When you connect your financial account to an app or business using Mono, this allows you to share your financial data like statements, transactions, or identity data with a business, so you can access more personalized financial services.

Here's a simple guide on how to connect your bank account to a business using Mono.

  1. On the login or onboarding page of the app you are connecting your account to, click on the button or prompt asking you to link your account using Mono.

  2. You will see a modal telling you that this process is secured and that your credentials are private and protected. To proceed, click on the "Link account" button.

  3. Next, you will be directed to the consent page. Please check the boxes to give consent and then select "Continue" to proceed.

  4. A number of available banks will be displayed, Choose the preferred bank you want to connect your account to.

  5. Next, select the login method (Internet banking or Mobile banking) if available and enter your banking credentials as displayed on the screen.

  6. Select the preferred account you would like to continue with.

NB: Some financial accounts might require you to enter a One Time Password (OTP) and/or password to continue the login process.

  7. Finally, you will then see a page pop up indicating that you have successfully connected your account to the business. Click on the "Continue" button to proceed to the next stage.

P.S: Please note that your credentials will never be made accessible to the mobile or web app you are connecting your account to. Your personal information and login details are encrypted using bank-grade security, during the account linking process. They are also not accessible to anyone and Mono doesn't have access to move your funds without your permission.
