Can a business set up multiple mandates on my account?

Yes, but you need to have approved one mandate before another mandate can be set up on your account.

How long does it take for a mandate to be authorized?

This depends on the authorization method and varies from bank to bank:

  1. For E-Mandates: 1 - 3 minutes (except GTB which currently takes up to 8hrs)

  2. For Signed mandate: 1-3 business days.

Why am I sending N50 to an account?

This fee is sent directly to NIBSS as a way to verify your account and identity details, and enable authorization of the direct debit mandate on your account.

Is there a limit on the total amount that can be debited?

Mono Direct Debit currently supports a maximum amount of 20 million naira.

I tried to authorize an e-mandate and the link says it's expired, what do I do?

Kindly reach out to the business to initiate a new mandate.

I have been redirected to a configuration error page, what do I do?

Please reach out to the business to resolve this.
