When will this change take effect?

The transition will take effect on April 1, 2025. After this date, card payments via Flutterwave will no longer be available as a payment method.

What happens to my current payment setup with Flutterwave?

If you currently use Flutterwave for wallet funding or subscription payments, you will need to switch to Direct Debit or Virtual Account transfers before March 31, 2025.

Does this change affect partners outside Nigeria?

No, this update applies only to partners in Nigeria. Partners in other countries can continue using Flutterwave for wallet funding and subscription payments.

Does this change affect how I pay via invoices?

No, invoice payments are not affected. If you typically pay via invoice, you can continue doing so.

Will all cards attached to subscriptions be disabled to prevent any possibility of charging the cards for a plan?

Yes, all cards attached to subscriptions will no longer be charged after March 31, 2025.

What happens if I don’t set up a Direct Debit Mandate before March 31, 2025?

Without a Direct Debit Mandate, your wallet funding and subscription payments will not be processed, which may lead to service disruptions.

Can I still use card payments after this change?

No, card payments via Flutterwave will no longer be supported. Direct Debit and bank transfers will be the only available options.

Will I need to manually fund my wallet or Subscribe going forward?

If you set up Direct Debit, your wallet funding can be automated. However, you can still manually fund your wallet via bank transfers to your Virtual Account or via Invoicing.
